Jillian Dean

Jillian Dean, BSc, RTR, MO. Jillian is a recent graduate from the National Manual Osteopathic College. This 1884 hour Manual Osteopathy program teaches osteoarticular techniques to adjust bones and joint capsules, advanced fascia techniques to increase mobility and decrease discomfort in the connective tissue surrounding the muscles, craniosacral therapy to restore balance to the body's natural rhythm and improve the flow of fluid surrounding the central nervous system, and visceral manipulation techniques to release restrictions in your abdomen and pelvis to encourage natural movement and function of your internal organs. Previously Jillian graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Health Science. She went on to specialize in Radiography, Mammography, and Computed Tomography. While she enjoyed the science and technology involved in that career she wanted to be more involved in her patient's recovery. So, after 7 years in Medical Imaging she left the diagnostic field and moved into the healing field.

Dr. Chris Keay

DTCM, R.Ac, Grad.Dip.Sc, B.Sc. Dr. Keay graduated from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2005, and became a registered acupuncturist in Alberta the same year. He continued to further his clinical research and training in acupuncture and Chinese herbs from the GuLou Hospital and BaiXia Hospital in Nanjing in 2007. He also received a B.Sc. degree from the University of Hong Kong and a Grad.Dip.Sc. from the Latrobe University in Australia. LeeAnne Jobin

Lily is a student of massage therapy, in her final year of the 3000 hour registered massage therapist program with MaKami college. She was trained in the art of Swedish relaxation massage at the age of 9 and has been providing relief from stress, tension and associated headaches for over 30 years. In her current studies, she has become adept in several modalities including hot stone, cupping, myofascial release, deep tissue and therapeutic massage. Her services are currently being offered at the student price of $55 for a one hour treatment. Please note she will not be able to write receipts for insurance until the new year.

Genny Machado

Genny is an Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy graduate of Makami College's 3000hr program. Genny has had the opportunity to acquire experience doing a variety of treatments that include therapeutic, myofascial release, relaxation, prenatal, thai herbal compress, hot stone, and bamboo massage. Genny places a great deal of importance on providing her clients with a broad line of options, and she ensures that their physical and mental wellness are looked after.

Paul Archibald

Paul graduated in 2006 from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy (2280 hours) in Halifax with certification in sports massage, and has been working as a registered massage therapist ever since. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology and certification as a personal fitness trainer. Paul is dedicated to treating a variety of conditions, such as overuse injuries and postural and joint dysfunctions. With his background in kinesiology, he is well suited to work with you and your trainer to achieve maximum results. Paul has flourished in a number of work environments, like ski and golf resorts, and on cruise ships providing deep tissue therapeutic treatment and relaxation massage. We are pleased that he is now bringing hot stones into his treatments for a more intense effect on the tissues. He truly embodies the concept of high quality client care.

Mandy Felt

Mandy graduated from the 2200 Hour Program at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2010. She is registered with the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta. She has several years of experience treating tension and pain in the body using a variety of massage modalities. Mandy specializes in relaxation, sport and deep tissue, therapeutic, pregnancy, and Thai herbal compress massage.

Trish Bogacka

Trish graduated from Foothills College of Massage Therapy in September 2005 and has been practicing massage therapy full time ever since. She decided to study massage after seeing firsthand how much it helps people; it was the only treatment that worked for her chronic shoulder pain. She has practiced in both clinical and spa settings, and can help a variety of clients ranging from those looking to relax and relieve stress to those with more serious injuries. She enjoys treating repetitive strain, sports and occupational conditions, and has a deep interest in maintaining the well-being of her clients. She shares her passion for massage by volunteering at events such as Yogathon and Run for the Cure. Trish also practices reflexology, pre and post-natal massage,and hot stone massage.

Paulla Schmidt

Paulla has many refined massage skills in her 15 years of practice. She specializes in pre/post natal care and is adept at reflexology, Thai compress, hot stone, cupping and lymphatic drainage. She uses all of these modalities to address her client's specified needs. She also has extensive experience with trigger point and cupping therapy, which has aided her clients in recovering from soft tissue and over use injuries, and migraine headaches. Paulla has extensive knowledge and experience working with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, post surgical and pre/post natal clients. She enjoys exploring treatment options and working towards individual care goals. Paulla is a loving mother of 2 and is currently an active member of the Board of Directors of the NHPC.

Nolan Griffin

Nolan joined Mantra in 2011, and has been practicing massage therapy since graduating from the Mount Royal University Massage Therapy program in 2008. He has worked in a wide array of settings from sports clinics and spas to providing mobile massage around the city. Nolan leads an active life, believing in the importance of physical fitness for optimum health, and has a diverse background in sports, weight lifting and athletics. His experience in multiple massage disciplines has allowed Nolan to work with his clients to achieve their personal treatment goals. Amanda Meadahl

Amanda is the owner of Mantra Wellness Centre and has been practicing Massage therapy since 2005. Amanda specializes in sport massage and injury recovery, deep tissue massage and PNF stretching. She excels in finding and relieving those painful areas within muscle tissue and making them relax. Amanda has developed a blend of techniques making her massage unique to each client and their specific need for massage. Using her knowledge she is able to give advice based on individual treatments. During treatment she aims to work effectively with the client to relieve pain, increase range of motion, decrease tension, and achieve optimum performance and to provide injury free training and minimize pre and post event injuries. Having a gymnastics and sports related back round, she has a complete understanding of how the body works and dealing with injury.
